Hi! My name is Bekah, and I am the founder and owner of Stressed Backwards. I also love being a mom to my two amazing boys.

Cake decorating and baking became my passion at an early age. I grew up in a Murrysville, PA and was raised by my high school sweetheart parents. They blessed me with an army of siblings; three big brothers, an older sister, and two younger sisters.


Growing up in a large family I spent a lot of time in the kitchen helping my mom.


My mom is an amazing cook and baker and is an inspiration to me in the kitchen. Her homemade treats and special traditions that formed around our meals together as a family are memories I truly cherish and work to instill in my home today with my children. 


In high school, I participated in an externship program which created the opportunity to work in a small bakery and in the bakery department of a large hotel. From there I went straight to the Baking & Patisserie program at Le Cordon Bleu in Downtown Pittsburgh. I worked in many unique establishments throughout my baking journey from small Mom & Pop spots, fudge shops to large scale bakeries!

I thrive on creative challenges and out of the box thinking when it comes to my creations.


I value the relationships formed through my work. I watch children grow up while making a special milestone cake for their parties each year. I feel blessed to have the opportunity of being a small part of your special day and to make your occasion that much sweeter! I am thankful for my customers and their loyalty to help me succeed in my dreams of doing what I love every day. 

My cakes and desserts are always made with fresh ingredients and a whole lot of love poured into them.
